It’s the Little Things

A few years ago an app was created that changed our lives forever...it’s name?

Pinterest!

It truly changed the game; nowadays you can’t plan a wedding or even a pregnancy announcement without first consulting Pinterest for all the inspiration it has to offer. There’s so many ideas that a lot of times we end up simply overwhelmed with options. How can you even know what you like when Pinterest tells you that your wedding should look this way or that way? And in the end, isn’t this day supposed to be about celebrating you and your spouse?

The good news is, you can still use Pinterest for inspiration AND make your day special and unique to you as a couple!!

Trust me, it’s in the little things.

Let me share with you 7 ways that the details of your wedding day truly set you apart and personalize your day!

1. Details can demonstrate your personality

Are you adventurous and do you love to travel? Show that side of your personality by including details like these!

Beautiful bouquet by Vintage Flower Market

2. Do you prefer a minimalist lifestyle and simplicity in life?

Choose invitations with a simple yet gorgeous design too! These were designed by Simplicity Papers

3. Using family heirlooms as details is a great way to honor your family members at your wedding, it also adds a personal touch that no one can duplicate.

Or, if you just love antiques, rent them at a place like The Vintage Rental Company

4. Including greenery and flowers into more than just your bouquet also helps add texture and beauty to other parts of your day!

These florals are from Vintage Flower Market. The rings are from Galleria Fine Jewelry

5. Details also help to bring in your wedding colors into other parts of your day to tie everything together.

This GORGEOUS cake and sweet macarons were created by European Cafe.

6. When choosing a location for your wedding, choose a place that reflects your personality and style!

Do you prefer the industrial and city look? Then maybe look for an indoor location! Are you adventurous and outdoorsy? Look for a place like Enchanted Hills Weddings that allows your whole day to take place outside. They even have a romantic little boat!!

7. And finally, one thing that is easily overlooked, your makeup!

Whether you like to have lots of makeup or just a little, be sure to do a test run with the artist that you choose. This way, you can make any changes before the wedding day and have no stress that day knowing that you will love your makeup!! This makeup (and her hair too!) was done by Hair & Makeup By Sherri D. Miller. I’ve got to also give a shout out to the beautiful dress that came from Etc. Bridal Inc.

I hope this list helps to inspire you to make your day not only beautiful but unique to you and your partner. A day that celebrates your love and your families coming together!
