It was a very special and beautiful day for Hadley and Alexandra; these two have been together since they were kids! I had the pleasure of teaching them when they were juniors in high school and they were together then. It’s pretty incredible to get to see the arc of their relationship all the way now to marriage!

We began the morning getting ready with the girls and doing a big dress reveal with the bridesmaids. They just about died when they saw how beautiful Alexandra looked in her dress!

Then it was time for the first look with Alexandra’s dad and Hadley. This part of the day ALWAYS gets me. It is truly a sacred moment and I feel so honored to be invited to be present. The look on Hadley’s face when he saw Alexandra was priceless. Their love for each other filled the room.

Their ceremony was held in the Caldwell Inn Wedding Chapel, a gorgeously restored one room chapel built originally in 1876. The bright afternoon sun streamed in through the windows as Alexandra walked down the aisle toward Hadley. There were lots of happy tears as the couple made their vows to each other and became husband and wife.

After the ceremony was finished, the bridal party, Hadley, Alexandra and I rode the trolley back to the Inn for the reception, how cute is this trolley?! The bridal party was so much fun and such a great group of loving friends! There is something so special about a community of people coming together to celebrate their friends’ love!

The reception was held at the Caldwell Inn, a beautiful, historic house in Milan, TN, it was the perfect background for the joining of these two families!

As a photographer, I feel so honored to be present in this very important day of people’s lives. I get to witness the first of many beautiful moments they will have together as husband and wife! It was even more fun to do this for a couple that I’ve known for so long and seen grow into such amazing adults. I can’t wait to see all that they will do together!
